English 099 as Practicum

Ok. This is kind of wierd. I've been teaching this class as an adjunct for several years, but it will now serve as the practicum for an MFA program requirement. Naturally, this would be the semester Gil, the regular CCSU English department head is on sabbatical, and I must instead work in conjunction with Mary Anne Nunn, assistant chair. I hope she doesn't operate in her apparantly usual mode, wherein she goes by the absolute letter of the law on any project for which she feels responsible.

I've spoken to Sean, and he seems merciful. I'm always anxious about new classes, wanting each that I teach to gel. The ungelled classes totally suck. The gelled ones are fun to teach. Not sure how creative I can get this semester, because ironically, I have so much schoolwork of my own, but since I'm being put under a microscope, I certainly hope I can rise to the occasion.
